Ladybugs might be tiny in real life, but in the world of Grounded, they are huge, stomping beasts that will decimate you and your friends in the blink of an eye. That is, of course, unless you use our guide to survive. This guide will cover how to kill Ladybugs in Grounded, including the best armor and weapons to use. I will also cover some of the most popular recipes that you will unlock with materials dropped by the Ladybug.

What You Need To Kill A Ladybug In Grounded

Grounded Acorn Armor

Before you take on a Ladybug, you should prepare your gear. When you first start fighting larger enemies, you won’t be able to get the best armor. After all, you’ll need ladybug parts before you can make one of the strongest armor sets in Grounded. However, the Acorn armor set should provide you with ample protection so that you can kill some of Grounded’s Ladybugs. Use our Acorn armor guide to gear up with a full set.

With the armor sorted, now you need to think about weapons. At this stage in the game, there are a few viable options. The Silky Sprig is a tier 1 club that can deal decent damage, but it’s certainly worth getting an Ant Club. The Ant Club does significantly more damage, and should prove to be a stepping stone to the Ladybug fight. You can get an Ant Club using our guide here.

With your gear sorted, you are ready for the fight. Now, don’t go in expecting this to be a breeze. Even with your new Acorn armor and Ant Club, Ladybugs are tough. They have a lot of health, and will easily take a third of your health with each hit. To survive, you will need to take your time, keep your distance, and learn to parry like a pro.

In Grounded, Ladybugs will mainly attack by shoving you with their body. This is the attack that will deal a lot of damage, so it’s one to look out for. When the Ladybug rears back slightly, prepare yourself to parry as the attack is about to come.

The Ant Club won’t kill Ladybugs as quick as you might hope, but it is leaps and bounds better than the Pebblet Spear. Take your time and circle around the Ladybug. When it lunges forward to make an attack, run behind it and start swinging to deal some damage. Then, as it turns to re-focus, move back and wait for the next attack. Keep looking for openings like this, and you should have the Ladybug dead in no time.

Ladybugs drop two materials that you can use when crafting: Ladybug Parts, and Ladybug Heads. The Ladybug Head can be used in various recipes, including the Insect Axe and the Ladybug Faceplate. Ladybug Parts are needed to craft the full Ladybug armor set, which is the best armor in Grounded. You’ll also need Ladybug Parts to make the Broodmother BLT, which allows you to spawn the challenging boss and potentially earn some amazing rewards.
