Survival is at the heart of everything you do in Grounded, and it’s hard to survive without a formidable weapon. Fortunately, the Ant Club is a whopping beast of a mace, able to beat the most vicious of enemies. This guide will cover everything that you need to know to get the Ant Club in Grounded, including where to find the ingredients and how to kill Soldier Ants.

How To Make The Ant Club In Grounded

To make the Ant Club in Grounded, you will need to collect the following ingredients:

  • Ant Part (x4)
  • Crude Rope (x2)
  • Ant Mandibles (x2)

However, getting all of those ingredients can prove tricky, especially Ant Mandibles. Fortunately, you can read on to find out how to get everything listed above.

How To Get Crude Rope In Grounded

Crude Rope is the easiest ingredient to get for the Ant Club. To make a piece of Crude Rope, you just need to gather three pieces of Plant Fiber. You can find this scattered throughout Grounded’s world, so it shouldn’t prove tricky at all. Just look around on the ground until you find a small green plant that you can interact with. When you have three of them, head to the crafting menu and make Crude Rope.

How To Get Ant Parts In Grounded

Getting Ant Parts will involve some combat, so prepare some armor and a weapon. When you are ready, head out into the garden and look for some common Worker Ants. These are docile unless attacked, but be warned. When you attack one Worker Ant, any others in the surrounding area will quickly come to assist in the battle, which could leave you outnumbered. Try your best to isolate one Worker Ant, before quickly attacking it with a Pebblet Spear.

When the Worker Ant dies, you should find some Ant Parts by interacting with its body. However, Ant Mandibles can only be found by facing a tougher enemy.

How To Get Ant Mandibles In Grounded

Unlike the usually-relaxed Worker Ants, Soldier Ants are powerful hostiles that will attack you on sight. Soldier Ants are easily distinguishable thanks to their bigger bodies and large pincers. When you see one, be prepared for a tough fight. If you don’t already have some equipped, go get some armor first. Use our Acorn Armor guide to quickly get a full set.

Soldier Ants are powerful thanks to their main bite attack. To survive the fight, you need to learn to parry, or at least block. This should allow you to soak up some of their powerful attacks and leave the Soldier Ant open to a counter-attack. Take your time with this fight, and try not to get close to any Worker Ants, as you don’t want even more enemies in the mix. If you struggle to kill Soldier Ants, try getting a ranged weapon first, such as a bow. This should allow you to keep some distance and deal damage without getting killed.

When the Soldier Ant is dead, you can interact with its body to (hopefully) retrieve some Ant Mandibles. Fortunately, you only need two, so you won’t have to fight too many Soldier Ants.

When you have all of the necessary ingredients, you can interact with a Workbench to craft the Ant Club in Grounded.
